Technical Skills and Agility Circuit Training
April 21 2008
Training will resume on Monday 28 April at Hallowing Point Park Field 11, and every Monday thereafter, for the rest of the Spring season as follows:
 
- U11 and younger will be from 5:00-6:15PM
- U12 -U14 will be from 6:15-7:30PM
- U15 and older be from 7:30-9:00PM
 
Training stations will be set up in a circuit on the field to train all aspects of the game including passing, receiving, heading, shooting, dribbling, shielding, etc. An area for agility training will be available. The recommended training format is for coaches to attend and to bring their teams to the field and assist in supervising the training.  If your players can attend but the coach can't attend, please ensure that the players will be included as part of another team and under the supervision of a CSA coach for the training.
 
Parents of children that are U11 and younger are asked to ensure that an adult will remain at the field that is responsible for the player.
Technical Skills Circuit Training begins Monday March 10, 2008

Starting March 10, 2008, Coach Garnes will offer technical circuit training for all CSA Select teams every Monday evening from 5:00-7:00PM. The first session on 10 March will be at Calvert Middle School (CMS) lower field. The remaining sessions will be at Hallowing Point Park (HPP) Field 11.
 
Training start times will be staggered as follows:
 
- U10 and younger will be from 5:00-6:30PM
- U11 and older will be from 5:30-7:00PM

Coach Garnes will provide feedback for each team as they progress through the circuit.
 
CSA Brings on Coach Myron Garnes as First Technical Director

Coach Garnes has a combined 25 years of experience in playing, and coaching soccer, at the highest levels. Coach Garnes holds a USSF “A” License and NSCAA Director of Coaching, and National Youth License certificates.

His playing experience includes playing for Trinidad and Tobago Div 1 League, the Manchester England Youth Program, Essex Community College, Howard University, and a professional reserve team in England.

His coaching methods have developed teams in the Greater Washington area that have moved up the NCSL ladder from Div 6 to Div 1 and successfully competed in State and National titles.

We look forward to his technical leadership, passion and expertise to develop our players, teams and coaches.
