Fall 2007 - Beyond
As of Fall 2006, Diadora discontinued production of the Morro uniform and neglected to inform CSA either in advance or after the decision had been made to discontinue the product line. We only found out in Spring 2007 when some of our teams attempted to procure uniform items from various vendors and were told that Diadora had discontinued the line. Subsequent contact with our local Diadora rep confirmed that they had in fact discontinued it.
Since that time, it has become virtually impossible for CSA Select Teams to equip new players or teams for the Spring 2007 Season; we have resorted to eBay, and when we ran out of options, began contacting players who have since departed to see if we could buy back their uniforms.
In response to this crisis, the CSA Select Organization appointed a Uniform Committee to evaluate various uniform options for the Fall 2007 season and beyond.
The CSA Select Uniform Committee, led by Rob Soper and represented by boys & girls select team coaches, developed a detailed set of requirements addressing club colors, quality, cost, club benefits, etc. The Committee then contacted a number of vendors, requested samples, met with vendors, evaluated vendor proposals, and developed a series of options that were then presented to the CSA Select Coaches at the CSA Select Meeting on February 28. The CSA Select Coaches evaluated the options presented and conducted a vote.
The result of the vote was that the CSA Select Organization decided to adopt the Adidas uniform. The uniform items include the following:
- 1 Adidas Onore Black Jersey (Primary)
- 1 Adidas Onore White Jersey (Alternate)
- 2 Adidas Campo Black Shorts
- 2 Adidas Copa Edge Black Socks
- 1 Adidas Calcio Black Warmup
- 1 Adidas Copa Edge Black Team Backpack
To obtain maximum benefit for the club (in terms of pricing, local responsiveness, club incentives, etc.), the CSA Select Organization selected Rockville Soccer as its vendor of choice.

Fall 2004 - Spring 2007
So in Fall 2004, after discussions with Diadora, CSA switched to the Diadora Morro Black/Gold and White/Black uniforms (which coincided with the club’s change of colors from navy/gold to the traditional Calvert County colors of black/gold/white).
In accordance with CSA rules, CSA players should have the following CSA Club uniform items:
- 1 Diadora Black/White/Gold Morro Jersey (Primary)
- 1 Diadora White/Black/Gold Morro Jersey (Alternate)
- 2 Diadora Black/White/Gold Morro Shorts
- 2 Diadora Black/White/Gold Azzurri Socks
- 1 Diadora Black Team Backpack
* Note: This listing represents the uniforms required by the CSA Select Organization in its bylaws. CSA has a purchasing arrangement through Eurosport, which in turn has a special arrangement with Diadora to get the lowest prices available for team gear. It has been our experience that players will need two pairs of shorts and two pairs of socks - you will see the wisdom of this policy when we play in tournaments and having two games (or more) on weekends.
Fall 1999 - Spring 2004
From 1999 through Spring 2004, Calvert Soccer Association (CSA) Select Teams proudly wore the Diadora Parma Navy/Gold and Gold/Navy uniforms. However, it had been readily apparent for some time that the Parma had some shortcomings and better products were on the market.
